Source/Archive record SYO222 - Ideal Laundry, Trinity Lane

Title Ideal Laundry, Trinity Lane
Author/Originator
Date/Year 1991

Abstract/Summary

Two evaluation trenches revealed evidence of a complex sequence of occupation in the late Roman period represented by dumping of large amounts of building demolition debris and pit digging. Shallow pits and a possible cemetery demonstrate activity on the site in the Anglo-Scandinavian period. A series of medieval pits and post-medieval garden soil indicate activity behind houses fronting on to Trinity Lane in this period.
