Full Description

Formerly known as: No.3 SHAMBLES. House. Early C18, altered in early C19; mid C19 shopfront; modernised c1970. Painted brick in Flemish bond, timber shopfront and moulded modillion eaves cornice; pantile roof. EXTERIOR: 3-storey 1-window front. Shopfront framed in Doric pilasters with moulded imposts, plain frieze and cornice. Doors of 6 sunk panels with divided overlights flank small-pane shop window over brick riser. Windows on upper floors are tripartite, with 8:12:8-pane sashes on first floor; 4:12:4-pane sashes on second floor, beneath original flat arch of gauged brick, now painted. INTERIOR: not inspected.
