Full Description
House. c1834. Orange-brown brick in Flemish bond; pyramidal slate roof with central ridge stack of brick. Symmetrical, of EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and 3 bays. The windows are glazing bar sashes with rubbed brick flat arches. The doorcase has fluted engaged columns, a fluted frieze, a modillion cornice, and panelled reveals. The door has 6 raised and fielded panels and radial fanlight. The timber gutter is carried on rectangular brackets. INTERIOR: partially inspected; original staircase and plaster ceiling coving in entrance hall; in front rooms, cast-iron fire grates, one in original surround, original picture rails and ceiling coving. On first floor, four bedrooms with original cast-iron fireplaces; three bedrooms with original plaster ceiling coving or cornice.
