Description
The evaluation found deposits and artefacts from the Roman to modern periods. Significant deposits of Roman, and possibly Anglo-Scandinavian, date, and medieval pits were found. The pits may be associated with the 13th century Franciscan Friary located in this area. Above the pits were undated horticultural or garden deposits and post-medieval domestic refuse pits.
