Description
The evaluation and boreholes revealed horticultural and agricultural soils dating from the medieval and post-medieval periods. These soils sealed four pits, three of which contained 2nd-3rd century Roman pottery. There was no evidence of any funeral activity indicating that this part of The Crescent was outside the Roman cemetery known along Blossom Street.
