Description
                    Watching brief undertaken on 28 March 2017 for single story rear extension at White House, 14 Main Street, Fulford, York.
A short expanse of existing wall was removed and its foundations machine excavated out, in
preparation for a foundation relating to new rear extension, no other archaeological features were
encountered except modern drainage, although one sherd of 18th/19th century pottery and medieval to Post-medieval ceramic building material were retrieved from the subsoil layer, may be associated with building activity of former structures in the vicinity.
