Description

Watching brief during the excavation of a sewerage trench. Natural was encountered c.0.7m bgl. Three layers of large cobbles were observed in the trench side thought to be Roman. This road is unlikely to be the main Roman road from the SW it is more likely to be a service yard or a minor road.
