Description
This document concerns the archaeology of the Heslington East site, Heslington,
York (centered on NGR SE 640506; Figs 1-2). It is intended to be a proposal for a programme of fieldwork in mitigation of the development of a new campus for the University of York. This programme will be agreed with the City of York Council as the relevant Planning Authority. The document reviews archaeological work which
has taken place on the site already, assesses the potential of the site for further
research and includes a project design and method statement for that research.
