Description

During the refurbishment of the city walls a watching brief was undertaken. This particular brief covered the wall chainages 1800-1900. It became clear during the watching brief that the 1800-1900 chainage was that the wall walk was in fact 19th century addition with evidence for robbing of the internal face just below the level of the walkway.
