Title 20-22 Toft Green, York
Author/Originator
Date/Year 2019

Abstract/Summary

The study has revealed that the site was located in the heart of York’s Roman colonia, close to numerous high-status buildings. Little evidence has yet been found for the post-Roman period in this area, however, burgage plots laid out in the medieval period were occupied throughout the period and the site became increasingly built-up over the post-medieval period. The site is presently occupied by mixed 19th–21st century commercial and domestic buildings.
