Title York City Walls Interpretation and Access
Author/Originator
Date/Year 2004

Abstract/Summary

This Interpretation and Access Plan sets an Interpretive Framework within which orientation and interpretation initiatives for York City Walls should be developed over a 10-year period. It proposes three key ideas, which we believe will improve and enhance the visitor experience, not just of York City Walls, but of York as a whole. Vital to these and to the provision of interpretation are the recommendations for improvements that offer access for all to this significant historic monument and the associated buildings and features.
