Full Description

Four houses. Mid C19. Brick with some painted stone dressings. Slate roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attics and basements. Each house 2 bays. The windows have sashes divided into square panes, 4 over 4. The 1st floor windows have a sill band. The cellar windows are mostly glazing bar sashes. Nos 9, 10 and 11 each have an attic dormer with shaped and pierced bargeboards. Each house has a pilaster doorcase in the right-hand bay and a 4-panel door with overlight. The pilasters to Nos 8 and 9 have sunken panels and their overlights have margin panes. Chimneys between houses. INTERIORS: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: the garden front walls are of brick with stone copings; they support railings with cast finials. Walls between the gardens of Nos 9 and 10 and Nos 11 and 12 also carry iron railings. Each house has an iron gate, and iron gateposts with ball finials.
