Monument record MYO5063 - Almshouses


A Maison Dieu was founded by the Cordwainers near Walmgate Bar/Fishergate Street in 1436. 5 poor men were recorded there in 1548. Location uncertain. The Guild of St Christopher may have also maintained an almshouse in Fishergate.
