Monument record MYO5026 - Post Medieval Ridge and Furrow Copmanthorpe

Summary

Two combined NMR entries. Created as a parent record for existing R&F records. The two entries suggest a mix of post-medieval and medieval blocks of R&F but most of the existing (Child) records are for broad R&F. NMR 1207041: Several blocks of post medieval ridge and furrow were seen on air photographs in the parish of Copmanthorpe. NMR 1207039:A field system of medieval ridge and furrow in the parish of Copmanthorpe visible as cropmarks and earthworks on air photographs. Much of the ridge and furrow has been built over as the village of Copmanthorpe has expanded. Pockets of the field system appeared to still be upstanding on late 1970s photography.
