Summary

A few blocks of narrow post-medieval ridge and furrow were seen on aerial photographs. There are several blocks which have been levelled while others appear upstanding on late 1970s photography.

Full Description

Two NMR entries for narrow ridge and furrow have been combined here.

A few blocks of narrow post-medieval ridge and furrow were seen plough levelled on air photography. The blocks lie in the parish of Askham Bryan, located at SE 5572 4983, SE 5623 4979 and SE 5735 4855. (1)

Several blocks of narrow post medieval ridge and furrow were seen on air photographs, south of York. Some of the blocks were still upstanding on late 1970s photography. The blocks are centred at SE 5637 4918, SE 5697 4949 and SE 5736 4872. (1)
