A Royal Observer Corps monitoring post. The site was built as a part of an extensive network of posts designed to confirm and report hostile aircraft and nuclear attacks on the United Kingdom. At the time of the Defence of Britain survey the site was found to have been destroyed. (1)
It was opened during Feburary 1968 and closed in September 1991. All surface features were removed by the MOD shortly after closure as it was very close to the perimeter fence. It was located underground on an MOD training area 50 yards south of Flaxton Road. (2)
