Building record MYO4140 - Dovecote, Prospect Farm, Askham Richard
Summary
Dovecote in the gable end of the Old Barn. Dated to late 19th - early 20th century. It survives complete and retains its interior with nesting boxes intact. It is a rare survival of a one common component of a fully developed farmstead. As a feature in the farmyard, it is much valued by residents in the village. It was nominated for inclusion on the Local List of Heritage Assets but has since been demolished.
