Building record MYO4107 - Dunlea & Virginia Cottages, Main Street, Holtby

Summary

19th century vernacular two storey detached cottages believed to have originally accommodated the gardener & groom at The Old Rectory. Local clamp brick walls with ‘tumbled gabling’. End and ridge clamp brick dentilled chimney stacks with tall plain fireclay pots. String course at first floor level raised brick verge at one gable. Brick-on-end lintels over openings. Exposed stone boulder foundations. Clay pantile roof. Wood casement windows (Dunlea) wood simulated vertical hung sash type windows (Virginia). Nominated for inclusion on the Local List of Heritage Assets.
