Full Description

19-21 is a 3 storey brick (rendered) building plus basement. It has timber sash windows to the upper floors.

Surveyed January 2015: Well maintained property.

19 Gillygate first and second floors are taller than 21 Gillygate. First floor windows are also taller in height.

Planning Notice (14/02824FUL) on front of property stated that permission is being sought to change the Basement and Ground Floor into a Restaurant.

Ground floor bay window frontage retained from original frontage (painted dark green).
First and second floor windows flush with building and painted white.

Rear dormer window frame in roof is rotting and paint peeling off.
Rear lean-too outbuilding roof is in a poor state, with roof panels missing.

Front: Ground floor front bay window appears to be original frontage.
Upper floors: Guest house

Information from BOM Survey

Houses, Nos. 19, 21, are of the early 19th century. They are of three storeys and have a modern uniform elevational treatment. No. 19 has been much altered on ground and first floors and has a pantiled roof. No. 21 is only one bay wide.
