[SE 59345110] Saxon Urns found AD 1859-60 [T.I] (1)
Anglian cremation burials of mid. 5th cent. date. among earliest of their kind, were found in 1859 in garden about 1/2 mile outside Micklegate Bar on the right side of the road to Tadcaster. The urns
are in York Museum. (2)
York Museum has five urns from this site, all of which are on display (3)
