Full Description

ouse. c1909-1914. Built for the village schoolmaster by Parker and Unwin, for Joseph Rowntree Village Trust. Brick with French tile roof. L-shaped on plan. 2 storeys with attics, 3 first-floor windows. Standard "New Earswick" window panes throughout. 6-panel door with upper panels glazed to right of spinal range with two 2-light casements to left. 3-light casement to cross wing. First floor: two 2-light casements to left, and a 3-light casement to cross wing. Attics: two 2-light dormer casements to left, and 2-light casement in gable end to cross wing. Stacks rising through pitch of roof of cross wing, and rear pitch of spinal wing, and ridge stack.
