House, No. 22, originally timber-framed, of three storeys and attics, was built in the early 17th century; it is now used as business premises. The gabled front elevation was rebuilt in brick in the late 18th century and there is a later addition at the rear. The interior has been much altered but the original roof structure, with clasped-purlins, survives. Framing is visible in the S.E. side wall of the second floor, though much of this relates to earlier periods of No. 21 adjoining.
