Full Description
House; now flats. c1790 with mid C19 alteration and extension.  Front of orange-buff brick in Flemish bond with painted stone  porch and timber modillioned eaves cornice. Roof is part  pantile, part slate, with stone copings and brick stacks. Wing  is of painted brick in Flemish bond and has slate roof.  EXTERIOR: 3-storey 3-bay front with projecting 1-storey porch;  1-bay wing to left, of 1 storey and attic. Porch opening is  round-arched and has panelled pilaster jambs with fluted bands  at the head and heavy moulded console cornice which breaks  forward over jambs: cornice returns on each side. Porch floor  is tiled. Front door, beneath overlight with crossed glazing  bars, is part glazed, part panelled like porch. Ground and  first floor windows are 4-pane sashes; centre window on second  floor is squat 4-pane sash, outer windows 2x2-pane casements:  all windows have painted stone sills and flat arches of finely  gauged brick. Wing has similar door to front door with  overlight: to left is 4-pane sash window with painted sill:  both have flat arches. Attic window is box dormer with squat  6-pane sash.
