Full Description

Two houses, now one shop. Mid C19, with later alteration and C20 shopfronts. Painted brick in Flemish bond with timber guttering; brick stack; roof not visible. EXTERIOR: 4-storey, 2-bay front to No.4; 3-storey, 1-bay front to No.6. C20 shopfront of pilasters and moulded cornice, with 2-light shop windows to both buildings. Recessed glazed double doors towards left end of No.4, with 1-light window to left. No.4 has 12-pane sash windows on first and second floors, and two unequal 9-pane sashes on third floor, all with painted sills and flat arches of gauged brick. No.6 has 4-pane sash with flat arch on first floor, and 12-pane sash on second floor, the head obscured by eaves frieze. Both houses have boxed guttering on shaped brackets and cast-iron inverted bell rainwater heads. INTERIOR: not inspected.
