Description
No archaeological deposits were observed during the watching brief due to the extensive presence of modern services. The presence of re-deposited horticultural soils suggest that the services were infilled with their own arisings as opposed to imported material. Numerous broken fragments of salt-glazed ceramic drain pipes suggest that deposits below the street have been heavily affected by services with earlier drains being truncated by later cuts.
