Description

A watching brief was undertaken on a small, 2.40m square excavation. The top 1m of deposits consisted of modern rubble. Beneath this was grey sandy silt with shell, mortar and charcoal inclusions; there were several medium-sized limestone fragments deposited irregularly throughout this deposit. No dating evidence was found for these lower deposits, and no archaeological structures were identified. Museum accession code: 1990.1018. No further info. Parent record.
