Description

Watching Brief: On the 2nd February 1993 the York Archaeological Trust carried out a watching brief on the repair and refurbishment of a buttress at chainage 2531.2 on the Jewbury section of the York City Walls. A void was discovered between the buttress and the outer face of the wall, narrowing until it was no longer visible at ground level.
