Description
In Building 1 the deposits observed were of rubble and mortar made ground, overlying garden soil and sandy clay. In Building 2 the deposits observed were solely rubble and mortar clayey silt made ground, with a ceramic drain visible at the bottom of the test pit by the doorway. The deposits seen in both buildings are likely to have been related to their construction.
