Description
Eight trial trenches were excavated across the development area, of which six were negative. Trenches 2 and 3, revealed limited archaeological remains that consisted of linear ditch and a small pit.The pit found in Trench 3, had a number of sheep bones present, but no dating. Excavation of the ditch from Trench 2 however, recovered sherds of Late Bronze Age to Early Iron Age pottery.
