Description
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by On-Site Archaeology Limited, in April and May 2018, during groundworks associated with the construction of four dwellings with access from Caedmon Close of a parcel of land to the rear of 206 Stockton Lane, York. The watching brief was undertaken to satisfy a condition attached to the development. The investigation comprised the monitoring of mechanical excavation for the new access road and of foundation trenching. The archaeological investigation did not reveal any archaeological deposits or finds.
