Conducted as part of a MA dissertation on the architectural evolution and role of the Old St Lawrence's church, the geophysical survey of the churchyard aimed at documenting the burials, the previous land use and the possible remains of the church, demolished in 1882. The old church has been completely dug out in 1882, only leaving trenches. The plan of the church was completed by the identification of two buildings on the north side of the church, possibly a chantry and a vestry. The survey has also shown the interactions between the church and the churchyard by the use and disuse of multiple paths. The original boundaries of the churchyard have been mapped. Due to the landscaping of the churchyard, it has not been possible to inform on the density and organisation in the churchyard although a feature on the south side of the church might be some ancient funerary monument. The occupation of the churchyard span from the 12th C (the church) to the present time, seen through the display of the medieval remains of the church and a modern landscape arrangement. The dating of the building is unsure but attributing their construction and demolition to a period comprised between the 14th and the middle of the 17th C seems likely.
