Description
The buildings dealt with and included in this report are the Old HR Block, the Office Block, the Clock Tower and Boiler House and the Multi storey Factory at the Terry’s chocolate factory on Bishopthorpe Road, York.
The buildings are generally of steel framed construction with external walls of brick and artificial stone incorporating steel, timber and aluminium windows. Roofs are mainly flat with asphalt and bitumen felt finishes, a section of roof above the offices is of North light construction with sections finished in patent glazing and Westmoreland slate.
Internal finishes vary in quality and appearance according to use.
