Description

Archaeological Evaluation and Excavation. The open area excavation at Clifton Moorgate was to obviate the need for a Watching Brief during the development of the site, and to record the circuit of the Roman camp ditch running northwards from the short stretch revealed by the evaluation. NMR Information: Evaluation in advance of development adjacent to the western camp on Bootham Stray revealed its probable ditch as well as undated internal activity.
