Description

Site chosen by investigators "because it yielded some interesting iron shapes during the initial survey. Near section where many crossings (fords) were found as the beck was probed. Land has been subjected to agricultural improvement." "Hoard of billets" found close to trench serial-2 excavated by MAP in October 2003. Area could have been a wetland during medieval and prehistoric times. Two pieces of medieval Gritty wear (12th-13th century) found.
