Description
Watching brief
This watching brief was undertaken during an engineering survey, and observed the mechanial excavation of test pits and boreholes. It confirmed the conclusiond of the desk-top study, which suggested that most of the archaeology in the area had been destroyed or buried by modern activity. Few finds were recovered, so the dating of deposits proved difficult.
