Description
An archaeological watching brief was carried out on works associated with the construction of new town houses on the playground of the former Shipton Street School, York.
This involved the monitoring of machine-dug trenches to create the footings of the new
buildings footprint.
A total of four site visits were made during October 2012 whilst Oakhouse Construction
undertook the excavation programme. This was completed without damage to archaeological features or deposits.
