Description

This record captures entries noted by RCHME in Eburacum, p69, that are given a general location of "Fishergate". The placement of the point on the map is indicative only. "H2342, a large wide-mouthed jar with a silver grey surface, found in Fishergate 1894 ... A fine female portrait-head in stone, with 3rd-century hair style, from a funerary statue found in Fishergate, 1882. ... H2134, a small light-red face vase, modelled as a female head found in 1855 in Fishergate."
