Description
watching brief, recording, trenches
A watching brief was conducted during the excavation of foundation trenches during the development of this site. A series of trenches were observed but little archaeological material was observed which was mainly dated to the later part of the 19th century and no structural remains were uncovered. The conclusions of the contractor were that the remains that were recovered were due to deposits associated with either domestic gardens or small scale horticulture.
