Description

building record A building record was carried out on this site, which is an annex to a former Methodist chapel which was latterly a printing works which is now defunct and is uninhabitable. The annex seems to have been used as a cottage in the past and was inhabited by the chapels’ caretaker but was vacated soon after the chapel was acquired by the above mentioned print works in 1901. The last tennant to occupy this cottage left in 1947 after the print works was acquired by the Richardson’s. Since this time the building has become derelict and uninhabitable. Somewhat suprisingly though the interior still remains fairly intact and retains the buildings original charachteristics which includes quite an unusual layout in that it has numerous access points with the first floor being directly accessed from the neighbouring chapel.
