Painted brick in Flemish bond, with timber cornice; slate roof, hipped to St Sampson's Square, with scrolled corner brackets and brick stacks. EXTERIOR: both fronts 3 storeys, 2 windows. Shop entrance in canted corner between plate glass shop windows: shopfront continues on Church Street side. Plain door incorporated at left end of St Sampson's Square front. On both fronts, first and second floor windows are 12-pane sashes with slender glazing bars, painted stone sills and cambered brick arches. Plain eaves frieze band and cornice on paired modillions.
