Description

NORTH YORKSHIRE SELBY DUNNINGTON CHURCH STREET 5342 SE 6652-6752 (east side) 12/4 Dunnington House and walls adjoining 17.11.66 - II House and walls adjoining. Mid C18 with C19 additions and alterations including raised roof level. Pinkish-brown brick with pantile roof, ashlar dressings to walls. T-shaped on plan with wall to left approximately 7 metres long x 3.5 metres high and to right approximately 5 x 3.5 metres. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central entrance a 5-panel door with overlight with glazing bars in fluted pilastered doorcase with consoles supporting frieze and hood which interrupts 4-course first-floor band. 12-pane sashes throughout with fluted wedge lintels. Wooden eaves cornice. End stack. Tumbled-in brickwork to gable ends. C19 lead rainwaterhead and fall pipe to left. Flanking screen walls. That to left has 3 round arches a carriage between 2 pedestrian, that to right has pedestrian and carriage, all blind except innermost which have C20 plank doors. Ashlar impost bands.
