Description

YORK SE6052SW BOOTHAM 1112-1/13/67 (North East side) 24/06/83 No.19 Exhibition Hotel GV II House, now hotel and public house. Late C18 with C20 alterations. Painted render and roughcast over brick. Slate roof. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys with attic and 3 bays, with full-width gable facing the road. The facade has a storey band above the ground floor and sill bands to the first and second floor windows. The ground floor has two C20 window openings with rounded upper corners, and a similar doorway between them. The windows to the upper storeys are glazing bars sashes (3 over 3 panes on the 2nd floor) with timber architraves and cornices. The attic is lit by a Venetian window. The gable has concrete copings, and a shaped semicircular apex. INTERIOR: not inspected.
