Description

YORK SE6052SE GOODRAMGATE 1112-1/14/392 (South East side) 19/08/71 No.21 (Formerly Listed as: GOODRAMGATE Nos.19 AND 21) GV II House, now restaurant. Mid C18 with early C19 and C20 alterations, and C20 shopfront. Front of painted brick in Flemish bond, rear and right return of orange-brown brick; double span pantile roof with timber guttering on paired block brackets and brick stacks. EXTERIOR: 2-storey 2-window front. Plate glass shopfront. First floor windows are 12-pane sashes with painted flat arches. Rear: 2 storeys, 3 windows. Ground floor obscured: on first floor, C20 window to left, two 12-pane sashes to right, all in altered openings. Brick eaves band with heavy brick dentils. Right return: two external stacks; blocked pigeon loft with two landing platforms in gable end. INTERIOR: not inspected. (City of York: RCHME: The Central Area: HMSO: 1981-: 136).
