No deposits asociated with the Roman/nglian period were recorded during the evaluation, although the east west cuts ovserved were suggested to be associated with disturbed graves. Later medieval activity was associated with agricultural soils. Post Medieval activity consisted of a 17th century cobble surfac, gully and pit and may be associated with the development of houses in the area. Modern deposits were associated with dumps associated with the levelling for the tarmac car park surface. The watching brief carried out during piling work identified a stone lined gully which included fragements of 15th/16th century brick.
