The deposits seen within the boreholes closely matched the sequence noted in the 2018-2019 evaluations at 9 The Crescent; although at 11 The Cresecent no Roman pottery was recovered. Sequence consisted of layers of probable medieval – post-medieval plough soils above the natural sands and clays. Beneath the modern yard surface was a significant depth of made ground deposits dating from the 19th-20th centuries.
