Observations of geotechnical investigations, windowless samples, boreholes, test pits, CPTU starter pits, 5 archaeological windowless samples and one archaeological test pit were excavated. This showed significant landscaping has taken place across the site since the early 19th century that had truncated and/or removed the earlier archaeological sequence, there were still well preserved remains of previous ground levels extant sassociated with pre-railway use of the site.
