Abstract/Summary
An archaeological evaluation prior to proposed development on site. The evaluation did not reveal any evidence for roman activity on the site. Four trenches opened in total, with one beiong placed on the former car park and 3 on the green itself. Three of the four threnches did include archaeological features, though these all appear to be of relatively late date, unlikley to pre-date the 19th century.
