Abstract/Summary
A limited archaeological evaluation was conducted in Horwell’s Coal Yard on Mansfield
Street, York. One trench exposed the probable brick foundation of the terraced houses that fronted the south side of the street. The other trenches revealed modern disturbance up to 2.2m below the current ground surface.
