Full Description

Two houses. Mid C19. Brick with painted stone dressings. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys. Each house 2 bays. On the ground floor each house has a sashed timber canted bay window at the right, with a modillioned cornice. The 1st floor windows are casements, glazed in a cross pattern, with a sill band. The 2nd floor windows are glazing bar sashes. Each house has a doorcase at the left, with panelled pilasters, modillioned cornice, and panelled reveals. The doors have 4 panels, and the overlights are both divided into 2 square panes. Timber cornice gutter. Shared chimneys in front of ridge to left and right of each house. INTERIORS: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: the garden front wall to No.30 is of brick with a stone coping and carries iron railings with cast finials. The gate is of iron, with iron gateposts which have ball finials. The right-hand return wall, shared with No.29 (qv) is also of brick with stone copings and similar iron railings. The front and side garden walls to No.31 are a C20 rebuilding, of brick with terracotta copings.
