Full Description

Pair of houses. 1827-30. Brown brick in Flemish bond at front, English garden-wall bond at rear; timber doorcase and guttering; slate roof with brick stacks. Guttering is on paired block brackets at front, at rear on single brackets. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and cellars; one and half bay to each house. Half bays have pilaster and cornice doorcases with 4-panel doors and overlights approached by stone steps. Cellar windows are unequal 12-pane sashes; on ground, first and second floors, they are 16-pane sashes with painted stone sills. Window arches are flat, of plain gauged brick, some painted. Rear has stepped fenestration with 16-pane sash windows. INTERIOR: not inspected. (RCHME: City of York: London: 1972-: 124).
